About this Manual

This manual describes the use of the ODBC, JDBC, OLE DB, and .NET drivers built using the local or the client side drivers provided as part of the client/server SDK.

Specifically, the topics covered include:

-          How to connect to establish connection using the various drivers

-          Supported API/Interfaces

-          How to use interactive SQL tools

-          Using sepcifc features of each driver

Notation Convention

The courier font is used for system-dependent keywords and commands to be typed by the user or for code samples and program output.  The pipe character ‘|’ is used as a shortcut notation and separator between menus, sub-menus, and items.  As an example:  ‘File | Open’ means the Open option from the File menu.
