Open Database Connectivity (ODBC), a SQL-based specification developed by Microsoft, defines a standard interface for any desktop application to send and receive SQL statements to a data source containing data. Widely used desktop application tools such as word processors, spreadsheets and application development tools are ODBC enabled and provide a means of easily bringing data from ODBC-compliant data sources.

OpenAccess Software, Inc. announces the availability of OpenRDA ODBC Driver for FIX Versions 6.x, 7.x and Dynamics. The OpenRDA Driver makes the FIX real-time and historical database ODBC compliant, without any changes to your FIX database and without requiring a third-party relational database. This Driver will allow you to use virtually any software product that is ODBC compliant with your FIX and iFIX data. Since it is a client/server solution, you can access the FIX or iFIX database from anywhere within your enterprise, even over the Internet.

OpenAccess Software also provides client connectivity products on various UNIX, OpenVMS, and MVS platforms with the same ODBC API. This ensures your corporate IT folks will have access to data regardless of which enterprise server platforms exist in your organization.
